DIY Butterfly Paper Cones

As a Maid of Honor to your best friend’s or sisters wedding, you might have to organize some pretty decoration for her big day.  You might want to prepare some cute paper cones for the guests, in order to hold and toss rose petals (or any other petals you or the bride choose) easily.  I went over to Style me Pretty's blog and they gave me of course the best tutorial explanation for this idea!

Directions:

Step 1: Cut 5 x 5 square of cardstock of your choice  (better when it’s not too thick, you can also make bigger ones just keep the square

             measures)

Step 2: Tape right corner with small piece of Red Tape (you can also use a non colored tape if you prefer)

Step 3: Roll to form cone & secure with Red Tape

Step 4: Punch hole at

Step 5: Fill with Rice or Petals

Step 6: Write desired phrase several times (approximately 1/2″ apart) on paper and photocopy. Cut into strips and cut bottom edge on

             an angle.

Step 7: Fold top over and mark (with pen) the hole on cone top with desired location for second hole on cone.

Step 8: Connect: Thread butterfly wire through top hole. Line up tag with hole in body of cone. Thread wire through tag and body hole

             (from the top down).
Step 9: Pass out to guests for a darling “rice or petal tosser”!
