THINGS TO DO THE WEEK OF YOUR WEDDING

It's the final countdown!! With only a week left before you say "I do," the wedding planning may be done, although the following words might come as a shock to you: "the work isn't over yet." To make sure not a single detail goes overlooked, we've put together a few important to-dos you and your soon to be husband must address the week leading up to your wedding.  Please remember the final to-do list includes, but is not limited to:

1.  Send Final Payments To Vendors, Call and Confirm

Try to pay all your vendors prior to the wedding.  This way you will make sure there's no outstanding dept and you don't have to track anyone down on your wedding day.  Call your vendors in the beginning of the week to confirm all your arrangements with them.

2.  Schedule All Your Beauty Appointments

Make any minor beauty appointments you want to do that week.  Be sure to keep your hands and nails in a good condition.  This includes your massages, hair, nails, waxing and facial.  This goes for your groom too.  Make sure his hair is trimmed and if he has any other treatments in mind that it's booked and confirmed.

3.  Break In Your Shoes

Make sure you spend some quality time in your wedding shoes so that you break them in before your big day.  You don't want to look and feel uncomfortable on your big day because of shoes that's hurting you.   Put them on for a few minutes each day and walk in them for a while or dance in them to your opening song.

4.  Photo List

If you have specific type of photos you want to have taken, write it down and email it to your photographer.  If you would like to have certain photos taken write it down and let your bridesmaid make sure all those photos get taken.  For example group photos:  All the men together, all the women together, cousins on your side of the family, cousins on your husbands side of the family....

5.  Emergency Kit

You never know what you are going to need on your wedding day.  Put together a small emergency kit that has things in like hairspray, bandages, glue and a sewing kit.

6.  Finalize Your Seating Chart

By this time you should know who will be able to attend the wedding and who not.  Take some time to draw up and finalize your seating arrangements.

7.  Music

Make sure that all the "important" music copied, downloaded and works properly.  If it's music you need to provide to your DJ make sure it's in the correct format and that it will work on his laptop or musical system.  Have a back up USB or CD with you on your wedding day for incase something doesn't work.

8.  Honeymoon

Pack your honeymoon bags and make sure you have all the necessary documents packed and ready.  Most couples depart on their honeymoon the day after the wedding and you don't want to run around and look for things that morning.  Make sure all your things are ready before you leave to the wedding venue.

9.  Confirm Who's Giving A Toast and Check in With Your Bridal Party.

Confirm with your maid of honor and or best man if they are giving a toast.  Maybe you have another family member or friend that is going to give a toast.  If you have specific guidelines for your toasts make sure they know the do's and dont's.   Call your bridal party and confirm all the minor details.
