Have you ever wondered why we toss confetti after a wedding ceremony? Or do you just do it because everyone else is doing it? Traditionally, confetti is usually small pieces of coloured paper thrown over the bride and groom by their wedding guests to bring good luck after the wedding ceremony.

People used flowers, petals, grain or rice to shower the happy couple in the past. We think it’s safe to say that modern weddings have returned to using the more old-fashioned confetti of organic and eco friendly materials.

Many brides make confetti their DIY wedding project, which is why we’ve created a few simple ideas that will fit in with any wedding. We hope you find some examples you love in this post.
